Welcome to Our Recovery Home!

Lambda Phoenix Center is continuing to try to accomplish some very big goals in 2009 and we really need the help of some very driven sponsors. Last year with the help of our community, the Board was able to raise the needed $10,000 to fund the parking lot construction. That money currently sits in an escrow account awaiting the final City of Phoenix approvals necessary to proceed. But that was just the beginning.

In order to sustain the viability of the center for future generations, this Board has a broader vision. Our goals include:

1. To make the necessary upgrades to become ADA compliant with updated bathrooms and building access doors;
2. To make Lambda more comfortable in the summer and winter months with a new energy efficient HVAC (heating /cooling) system;
3. To develop and host an annual Gala Event celebrating our community; and lastly
4. To provide a sustainability fund for future Boards so that as an organization we are not so heavily and desperately reliant on our community and members to keep our doors open and the lights on. This fund could be utilized to maintain the facility or to host one of the many new community events we have in the works.

We have come a long way in twenty years! There is no doubt that the contributions of past Boards and LPC members have brought us this far. In the coming months, we hope to enlist your support in our 2009 initiative. We invite you to become a part of this vision by joining our monthly meetings to voice your views, by becoming a member to support the basic needs of the facility, or by reserving your place in the growth of Lambda. This may mean exercising your leadership talents or developing friendships by volunteering to be of service.

We encourage you to contact our Development Director who can assist you in determining how your talents or interests can help us all work together in achieving our goals and place you in your area of interest.
