Thought for the Day  (Click to reveal)

Your soul mission is your reason for being, your life purpose. It's your calling in life--who you feel called to be, what you feel called to do. Mission is an energy that flows through you--a drive, voice, or passion that you cannot ignore... It's what you know in your heart you must live if you are to experience inner peace and harmony.

Birthday Dinner To Be Held Sept. 5

Hide/Show Details

September brings an Italian Pasta Buffet to Lambda, with a very tempting array of Italian cuisine to be served at the Birthday Dinner on Sept. 5.

Dinner includes a Caesar salad, garlic bread, pasta tortellini salad, primavera vegetables, two types of pasta with bolongese and marinara sauces as well as alfredo and chipotle cream sauce, and finally sauteed chicken breast. To top dinner off, there will be a delicious birthday cake.

Dinner costs $5 for members and $7 for non-members.

"Scag Drag Bingo" Sept. 11 at Lambda

Hide/Show Details

Get out your scuzziest wig, smear on some makeup and join us Sept. 11 for "Scag Drag Bingo" The event, which starts at 7 pm, will feature members of your Lambda Board in their skankiest drag.

So it's time to hit the thrift store for an ugly dress and some awful shoes, swing by the dollar store for some cheap lipstick and nasty eyeliner and maybe some tacky earrings, and head on over to the club. There are sure to be prizes involved fo the scaggiest (is that a word?) drag.

A night of fun, laughs, prizes and refreshments is in store.

Here's another reason for dressing up: you get $5 off the admission of $15 for 10 games. Hope to see you there.

Lambda Annual Board Meeting Sept. 12

Hide/Show Details

Following the evening of festivities for Scag Drag Bingo, come participate in the inner workings of Lambda Phoenix Center at the annual Board meeting. The meeting will be held at 2 pm at the club.

At the annual meeting, Lambda members are encouraged to come and voice their opinions about what is happening at the club. This is also the time the community elects people to the Board; once they are on the Board, the Board then votes them into positions of leadership.

The 50/50 raffle that has been going on this summer will also be held, and the winner will be announced. Tickets cost $1 and can be purchased from Board members. All proceeds go to benefit Lambda.
